This is my last update on DeviantArt, EVER. I'm through with this haphazardly managed site and refuse to spend any more of my valuable and little free time on it. To bring everyone up to speed, I've just been falsely accused of copyright infringement on not one, or two, or three, but FOUR of my photos! They were removed from the server without even asking for proof of authenticity. I'm fairly sure either someone else is using my photos as stock and then accused me of stealing them to gain credit for my work or someone at DevArt doesn't think I'm good enough to have taken them, which is a huge insult! I'm not great, but I don't steal! If it's the former, then way to go, DevArt, for conducting an actual investigation before agreeing with whoever called "wolf." I'm in the process of sending them a very nasty letter and removing all of my artwork from the site to protect myself from thieves as well as DevArt's incompetent managers. I have been on the fence about leaving for the past week, and this incident made my decision for me. I already disagree with their unfair compensation from print sales and the amount of theft that occurs on the site, so I have no regrets about leaving. I'm sorry that I will never again see your fabulous work and suggest to everyone to make their own professional-looking websites to showcase their work.

To those of you who have graciously supported me, especially ~love-prosper, I thank you dearly and am sorry to lose your support. In the future, you may be able to reach me at not.melendez@gmail.com to find out where I am keeping my work, but as for now, I don't know where I will showcase it. I imagine I will make a website for it, but I'm on the fence about paying for a domain name.

Anyways, I hope you all continue to develop your talent as all of you are wonderful artists.

P.S. the really sad thing about all this is DeviantArt probably doesn't even care. Talk about great customer service. This site is built on artists like us. Oh well.
